Norway need at the moment 6000 nurses – general nurses and specialist nurses. Most of all there is a need in the municipalities (in primary health care), but there is also lack of nurses in most hospitals.

What are the requirements:

Norway need pharmacits with masters. In Spain it is acceptable with candidates that have “Titulo de Licenciado en Farmacia” or “Titulo de Graduado en Farmacia” which is the title per today.

Norway need 20 truck drivers before the 1st of May this year and 50 or more during 2019

All drivers must have a license category CE, and they have to be able to make themselves understood in English. Driving experience 3 – 5 years.

Start by sending to MRS your CV which must have a picture, date of birth, telephone number, email address and your Skype ID along with all the other information. Send this to MRS together with colour copies of your driving licenses and passport. Then the employers in Norway will contact you. They have told that they would like to go and meet with the drivers in their home country, just to get to know ypu. But they will start by talking to the accepted drivers on Skype. The accepted drivers will then have to send a certificate of good conduct showing no criminal record.

Truck drivers for Norway – FAQ

1.     What age is preferable and what is the experience requirements for the drivers?

Answer: They should preferably have a minimum of 5 years of driving experience and be in the age range of 25 – 50 years old.

2.     What kind of driving license do they need? I think it is the same categories within EU.

Answer: Driver’s license CE + Ice-truck and health certificate. They will mainly be tested in their home country. Smooth driving course in cooperation with the Norwegian employer.

3.     What kind of cargo do they have?

Answer: It may vary, but essentially, they will carry foods / thermo / bulk. 

4.     What are the salaries, tax and insurance?

Answer: They will all be paid tariff salary. Beginners salary of approximately NOK 165 per hour, experienced about NOK 185 gross per hour.  Taxes to be deducted. Income Tax approx. 30%. It is also an extra tax deduction for those living in their home country. This is about NOK 4500 but must be checked on skatteetaten.no Insurance is included in the salary. The work insurance is mandatory in Norway. The drivers are paid from the first day they start working.

 

5.     Do they have any financial obligation?

Answer: No financial obligations, just keeping the truck neat and in order.

 

6.     What is the normal working time and working hours?

Answer: Around 45-50 working hours a week. Or, you can work 60 hours per week for three weeks and have two weeks off. Not possible to work more due to driving and rest time regulations in Norway.

 

7.     For how long can they work in one shift?

Answer: 12 – 15 hours  

8.     What is the additional payment for working overtime, evenings, weekends, holidays/red days and subsistence allowance?

Answer: They will have overtime payment when they pass 160 hours a month. The extra payment will be an additional 40 % on top of the regular salary.

9.     Will they be practising before they go on their own?

Answer: Driving training in Norway is in the car and by the help of another experienced driver. Then they get to know the car and box they are going to drive.

 

10.  Will they be offered a place to live?

Answer: Employer helps to arrange accommodation – a rental house/flat at your disposal. Alternatively, you can return to your country of origin during off weeks. Depending on location and size the rent is about NOK 3500 – 4500 per month.

 

 

11.   Will they drive only inside Norway?

Answer: The main driving area is the Central part of Southern Norway.

12.   Do they have to speak English?

Answer: The driver is not required, but recommended, to communicate in basic English to make themselves understood and to start the online Norwegian course. 

13.   In what level do they have to speak Norwegian?

Answer: Norwegian not an absolute required to get started. The employers will decide this. If they are required to learn basic Norwegian, it will be a 60 hours course leading to Norwegian level A2.

14.   Who will pay for the language training?

Answer: The employers will pay for the training. 

15.   Will the drivers undergo a background check to verify their passport, their driving licenses, their work experience and their references? This will be a valuable document for the driver for later use.

Answer: Most likely the employers will require this kind of documentation. 

16.   What other training do they have to undertake?

Answer: Ice driving course is necessary to add to the training and the employers will pay for this. 

17.   Who will teach them the companies handbooks and when will it be done?

Answer: This will be done during the first week in Norway. 

18.   How many drivers are needed?

Answer: 20 drivers are needed by the 1st of May 2019. A handful can start immediately. 50 drivers are needed during 2019. 

19.   Will they get a contract before coming to Norway?

Answer: The content of the employment contracts etc. is negotiated directly with the employer as this is a permanent job. Basically, they have to count on paying the airline tickets themselves. Working hours are regulated by driving and rest time regulations, and the tariff is negotiated with the employer. The shift plan is regulated according to The Working Environment Act.

20.   For how long are they guaranteed work?

Answer: They will have permanent working contracts, but there will also be a need for seasonable workers like during the summer period. 

21.   Shall they send a certificate of good conduct showing no criminal record?

Answer: They have to provide a certificate of good conduct showing they have no criminal record.
